Record-breaker, run-machine, generational. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is all that and much more. The 32-year-old has endured a hot-and-cold-run of form in recent months, but – as testament to his greatness – the records have still been tumbling in his wake.
The Delhi-born batsman broke as many as six records over the course of the recently concluded England’s tour of India, including becoming the first-ever player to score 3,000 T20I runs, scoring the most fifties and runs as skipper in T20Is and others.
Commemorating his achievements, the Royal Challengers Banglore, which Kohli captains in the Indian Premier League, compared him with the Marvel Cinematic Universe villian Thanos, wileding his recent records like infinity stones in the iconic gauntlet.
